Forty commands. One Teacher. Everything he asked of us.
When Jesus was asked for the greatest commandment, he gave two: love God with everything you have, and love your neighbor as yourself. Then he said all the law and the prophets hang on those two. This masterclass gathers his commands and hangs them the same way, in four parts: loving God, loving people, guarding the heart, and following him. This is not a masterclass because you will master it. It is a masterclass because you will sit with the Master. He said that whoever does these commandments and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom, and that anyone who chooses to do the will of God will know whether the teaching is from God. So do not just read these. Live one today. Each command appears in his own words, followed by its context, its meaning, and how to live it now, closing with a modern echo, a small story from our world. The echoes are not scripture and are never presented as his words.
