Two small coins

Jesus sat near the offering box at the temple, watching people give. Rich people dropped in big handfuls of money. Clink, clink, clink. Then a poor widow came and quietly put in two tiny coins, worth less than a penny.

Jesus called his disciples over. This poor widow gave more than all the others, he said. They gave from their extra. She gave everything she had.

God does not measure gifts by their size. He looks at the heart behind them. Your small gifts, your little prayers, your kid-sized kindness. They count big in heaven.
