The hidden treasure

Jesus told a story about a man digging in a field. Clunk. His shovel hit something. Treasure! He was so excited that he ran home, sold everything he owned, and hurried back to buy that whole field.

Was he sad about giving everything up? Not even a little. He was full of joy, because the treasure was worth more than all of it put together.

Jesus said the kingdom of God is like that treasure. Knowing God and walking with Jesus is the best thing you will ever find. Worth more than every toy, every game, and every prize in the world.

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he was so full of joy that he sold everything he had and bought that field.
